KIMMO KAIVANTO FOUNDATION
Kimmo Kaivanto (1932–2012) was one of the most significant Finnish visual artists of his generation.
The Foundation’s purpose is to promote awareness of Kimmo Kaivanto’s artistic legacy, to support research on his work, and to foster Finnish visual art culture more broadly. The Foundation was established in 2013.
The Foundation’s core capital consists of a collection of Kimmo Kaivanto’s paintings, graphic works, and sculptures. In addition, the Foundation owns the artist’s sketches, photographs, an archive documenting his artistic activities, as well as his summer studio on Arkkusaari in Lake Tarjanne.
